Weather [link]: Yosemite weather in October is unpredictable. We may arrive and find either extreme — summer temperatures or snow on the ground.

Chain requirements [link]: If there IS snow on the ground, vehicles by law must carry chains. If conditions require use of chains and you don't have them, the highway patrol will refuse your passage — and may issue a ticket.

Road work [link]: Note that Wawona Rd / Hwy 41 (the southern entrance route) is undergoing maintenance, which may create delays and rough roads.
